This magnificent original 1921 poster by Leonetto Cappiello presents one of the most iconic images in the history of Italian advertising: the ‘Spiritello’ — a lively, mischievous little figure wrapped in an orange peel, raising high a bottle of Bitter Campari — set against a vivid, dark background that allows the forms and colours to leap off the plane. 

The collaboration between Cappiello and the Atelier Devambez / Les Nouvelles Affiches in Paris and Turin is clearly identifiable: the fine lithographic technique used here, executed in seven colours (yellow, orange, red, blue, green, grey and black), exemplifies the high-quality production standards of the time. 

Beyond its aesthetic brilliance, this poster captures a moment when the graphic arts and commercial advertising merged in Italy. Cappiello’s use of flat colour fields, dynamic composition and bold figure reflects his pioneering approach: he famously asserted that in a modern poster, the figure is inseparable from the product.

Shipping and Taxes:
Shipping fees are 48€ on most of items (except for the heavy artworks) and processed in 2-3 business day for UE Customers.

Tax will be calculated based on the total value of merchandise, applied as governed by state sales tax regulations based on the ship to state, and will be displayed once your shipping address is entered.

Returns:
You have the right to withdraw from the purchase contract within 14 days from the day you receive the item. To exercise your right of withdrawal, please contact us by email at within the 14-day window. We will provide return instructions.

Returned items must be in the same condition as received, unworn/unused, with original packaging and documentation. The return shipment must be securely packed and insured. Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will issue a refund within 14 days by bank transfer. Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the item was faulty or incorrect.
